On the "Status" tab of the server setup page you can see the current status of the server in general, and the status of each of the connections. The fields are:

Status

This shows the current status of the server, that is, what the server is doing at the moment.

Newsgroup

This shows the currently active newsgroup of the connection. The general server page does not have this info..

Lines Received / Bytes Received

This field shows the number of lines or number of bytes received of the current block of data (for example article text, article header list, or list of newsgroups) on this connection (the server page does not have this info).

Total Received

Total number of bytes received from the server during this session.

Receive Speed

Average receive speed from the server, in kilobytes per second. BNR automatically optimizes all article downloads so that the fastest server has a priority (that is, if you mark an article that exists on several servers and all the servers are currently free, BNR starts downloading the article from the fastest server. Naturally if only one server is free, it will be used).

The box below the Receive Speed indicator shows the latest commands sent to the server and the replies received from the server. This can be used for trouble shooting purposes.
