RightClick Menu

This menu is shown when you right-click within an article list window. These menu items are also available in the Articles menu. Each of the items have a keyboard shortcut that can be used directly within the Article List window. This menu consists of the following items:

Mark for Download

This menu item marks all the selected articles for download.

Unmark

This menu item is the opposite of the above, it unmarks all the selected articles.

Clear ALL marks

This menu item clears all marks so that no articles are marked for download in this article list window.

Priority Level ...

With this menu item you can change the download priority level of the selected articles. See the description of priority levels for more information!

Execute File

This menu item executes the file if it has been downloaded. (This is the same as doubleclicking on the filename column). If the article has not been downloaded it does nothing.

Delete File

This menu item deletes the file if it exists on your disk.

Find Index ...

This menu item displays a list of files that might be indices matching the filename of the article. For example, if the article filename is 1234h12.jpg, BNR will search for files like 1234hidx.jpg, 1234hix1.jpg, 1234h00.jpg and so on. You can then select to view any of the index files found to determine whether you wish to download this image.

Kill ...

This item launches a popup window where you can add a new pattern into Kill Filter. The popup window will get default values from the article or articles that were selected when you select this item.

Want ...

This item launches a popup window where you can add a new pattern into Want Filter. The popup window will get default values from the article or articles that were selected when you select this item.

Mark as Read

This menu item marks the selected articles as read (Old).

Mark ALL as Read

This menu item will mark all articles as read. Note! BNR will ask whether you wish to do this automatically when you close an article list, so you do not normally need to use this menu item.

Mark as Unread

With this menu item you can mark the selected articles as Unread (New).

Mark ALL as Unread

This menu item will mark all articles as Unread (New).

Swap file set / part

This item allows you to change the way BNR has parsed multi-part article subject. The algorithm BNR uses is that the last "(x/x)" substring (where x is any number) in the subject means a multi-part article part indicator, and the first "(x/x)" or "[x/x]" or "x of x" substring means a file set indicator, like "file 1 of 7". However, some posters put these indicators in a reverse order, which makes BNR unable to create full multipart files. You can swap these indicators using this menu item. If the subject contains only one such "(x/x)" indicator, you can swap between BNR parsing this as a multi-part or as a file set indicator. You can select several articles for which to perform this swap.

Edit subject ...

This menu item allows you to edit the subject manually, if even the above feature does not help in parsing the subject properly. Note that you can only edit one subject at a time.

Download directory ...

This menu item allows you to set a download subdirectory for the selected article(s). If the article already had a subdirectory assigned you can edit that, else BNR gives a part of the article subject as a basis for the new subdirectory (so that you can simply and easily have these articles go to a new directory and then later move them to their final destination).

Properties

With this menu item you can view the properties of the current article.
